He (India passport holders) is required a Visa for the transit if he leave the transit area during his layover.

Once I enter or depart Vietnam on a 12 day holiday, Is there any kind of fee I will be charged at the Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh airports, if so, will it be AUD, Vietnam Dong or USD?

Cause Australia passport holders is eligible for the E-Visa, when you enter Vietnam with an E-Visa, you dont need to pay any extra fee upon landing, the Stamping fee is included in the E-Visa fee.

In case you are holding another types of Visa, you should prepare the money in cash USD or VND. You still can exchage it at the airport.
